Ironman is a brand term that is increasingly becoming common use for half (70.3) and full-distance (140.6) triathlons. Ironman is a term that was created by The World Triathlon Corporation for their triathlon events. Due to the enormous success of these events, people tend to refer to this brand term rather than triathlon. Much like “I’ll Google it” has become everyday use for searching for something online regardless of the search engine you use. “I’ve done an Ironman” is now often used for any triathlon event regardless of the event organiser.

The most popular triathlons are generally a pretty long way. Since the bike element can be 56 or 112 miles, when we put all 3 stages on a single map you tend only to see the bike element. We feel that running 13.1 or 26.2 is no small feet either (plus that swim) so having a map that highlights the run and swim is equally important. The bonus of having 2 frames is that you also get space for a photo and your finishers medal!
