It all begins with a swim, run and ride but how exactly does the process work? How can I be sure you can make a version for the triathlon I have completed? We have created a unique triathlon gift, but it does throw up the odd question. Here is a list of the most popular ones.
We get asked this a lot as there seems to be no one else really making these types of gifts. Hopefully, this diagram goes some way to explain, along with the questions below.
When we say we make this for “any” triathlon we really do mean it. We have a very talented team of people and a back catalogue of thousands of event routes over many years. Plus our loyal customers provide us with race data that they are willing to share. Once you provide the event we will source the route (if we don’t already have it) and produce the map for you. If we are unable to do so, you get 100% of your money back (don’t worry our current success rate stands at 99.9998%)
If it’s a solo triathlon (one you have just made up) all we need is either a link to the run from Strava, MapMyRun or similar, a GPX or KML file and we can even make them from screenshots. Again if we are unable to do so, you get 100% of your money back (don’t worry our current success rate stands at 99.9998%)
Not much, all our frames are designed to be self fit so there is no need to send us anything. Just select your framing options and when adding to the cart you will choose your map colour and specify the text you want to appear and event name (if you haven’t added it to the text already). That’s it!
If it’s a solo triathlon (one you did by yourself) you may have provide a link or GPX file. Just add this to the Any other information box or check the “I need to attach a file” box
If you have selected our paid-for photo resizing and printing service you will need to provide a digital photo once you have placed your order. Just check the check the “I need to attach a file” box.
As everything is made to order, it does take a little more time than just taking an item off the shelf and sending it out. That said we offer a few options that cater for the majority of orders these are between 4 and 14 days.

As for proofs….
We don’t sent proofs prior to ordering, generally this is for two reasons there is very little we can change. Your route is your route and the map is a map of the area. The other reason is we have to actually make the design to create a proof. If you are really desperate to see a proof, we will create one for you but we will only do this after you have placed your order and if you request it. You need not worry though as you can see our customer reviews are excellent and the 99% of them never saw a proof.

Self-Fitting: Our products are designed for easy self-fitting for both photos and medals, just like hanging a picture frame. If you prefer, we also offer an optional photo print and fit service for added convenience. Medals are self-fit.

Ironman or Triathlon (I’m confused)

Ironman is a brand term that is increasingly becoming common use for half (70.3) and full-distance (140.6) triathlons. Ironman is a term that was created by The World Triathlon Corporation for their triathlon events. Due to the enormous success of these events, people tend to refer to this brand term rather than triathlon. Much like “I’ll Google it” has become everyday use for searching for something online regardless of the search engine you use. “I’ve done an Ironman” is now often used for any triathlon event regardless of the event organiser.
